| JR Hokkaido Niseko Liner departing Ginzan Station on the Hakodate Line on a spring evening in 2007. The six-car train of KiHa 201 DMUs is running from Sapporo to Kutchan, mainly with homebound commuters from Hokkaido's capital city. The inland Hakodate Line was once the main route from Sapporo to the south, but all through traffic now uses the water-level Muroran Line.
