| Soo 744,709 struggle through the cold and snow just west of Gilchrist with train 910. This was just another train on the Soo subdivision in 1984. A year later the Soo would buy the Milwaukee Road and not long after re-route most traffic away from this line. Then the failed Lake States experiment and finally sale to WC in 1987. Today's rail fans should take note how the commonplace can be changed forever in a short period of time. |
