| One of the better shots of the day was one of the first of the day... set the bar high for some great action on the former DMIR. This raw taconite shuttle is rolling south to the processing plant where it will be turned into taconite pellets. I miss the days of the pair of Maroon and Gold, but the legend lives on as the last SD40-3 in Maroon assists the IC leader. The frigid waters of the St. Louis River are moving right along, bringing spring snow melt and remaining ice chunks south as spring has sprung fairly early for Minnesota standards. You wouldn't know it as the temperature read 8 degrees above zero when I left my home. |
