The North Jersey Chapter NRHS sponsored a steam special to Bay Head Junction with the last operating Camelback, #774, on Sunday, July 11, 1954. John took photos of the trip and they have all been uploaded to his site GodfatherRails.com. When the special arrived at Bay Head Jct., the fans descended upon the property as the yard was full of PRR K4 equipped commuter trains, under steam, waiting for the call to work later that day or on Monday. Among the crowd of Pacifics assigned to this duty: the famed PRR #1361.
