"86 miles to NYC" Or, rather, 5 miles to Newtown, PA. This is what remains of SEPTA's R8 commuter line that was deactivated at Fox Chase where the catenary and electrification ended. Originally, this line was part of the Reading Railroad which assumed control of the line which was chartered from Philadelphia to NYC but never made it past Newtown (NE of Trenton, NJ).
