| The CNW C628 fleet spent most of its time lugging ore from the mines on the Marquette Range to the dock at Escanaba. Not as well known was the fact that the big Alco's also could be found nearly every day on the Escanaba-Green Bay general freights. They also could wander down to Butler or Proviso on occasion. In this photo 6716 and 6729 have just completed the trip from Escanaba to North Green Bay and are yarding the 62 cars of train 936. |
