| The beast lives! After two plus years out of service the 6525 once again rolls through Athens. Here a northbound Athens Line storage move from Watkinsville passes the massive waste of taxpayer money that is Sanford Stadium on the old CofG. I had shot the power sitting in Watkinsville that morning, and it was by chance that I heard him blowing for a crossing a few miles from my house. By the time I caught up to him this was the first shot I was able to get. Even at 10 mph he beat me through the cluster(expletive deleted) of red lights that is downtown Athens. To top that off CSX let him across the diamond in record time so this was the only shot I got off what was probably the 6525's first time leading a train in several years. |
