There has been a recent revival of freight trains climbing the Lickey inlcine, and some of these new flows have been coming up in the morning when the sun is right. You know a train is heavy when the ubiquitous Class 66s require banking from another class member and still the climb of just under 2 miles takes about ten minutes from start to finish. Even with the fairly limited 70-200mm lens attached I was able to shoot for around 20 seconds with the train filling the frame in each shot (this is the last but one by the way) |
