Remarks & Notes |
Something a little different today on the Utah Ry; an SD50 led crude oil train seen here descending the 2.4% grade in Price River Canyon. These are empty tank cars headed to Wildcat siding for oil loading. Those two geeps are very uncommon here in the Utah mountains. After dropping the 16 empty tanks at Martin yard the train will return to Provo with GP38-2 #2001 leading 5 cars; 2 crude oil loads, 2 empty sand hoppers and that lone box car that served as the buffer on the inbound trip. |
