Remarks & Notes |
Despite spring flooding that has closed down CP's River Sub, priority auto parts must get through to Ford's St. Paul, MN plant to keep the lines running. SOO 6601 is on an alternate path across Wisconsin. They diverged from the normal route at New Lisbon and went north up WC's Valley Sub to South Necedah. Here an extra crew on a GP38-2 stands ready to couple onto the rear of the detouring train to lead it around a balloon track to Union Pacific's Adams Line. Once safely backed onto the UP, the detour will take the ex-C&NW route all the way to St. Paul. |
