Merry Christmas everyone! Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway #3759 rests in Kingman, AZ at a place dubbed Locomotive Park dressed in lights celebrating the Holiday after retiring with over 2,585,000 miles. She was built by Baldwin in 1928 and her normal passenger run was from Los Angeles, CA to Kansas City, KS utilizing Kingman as a water stop. In 1955, she was brought out of retirement for one last excursion and ran over Cajon Pass prior to being donated to the city.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
