Gulf & Ohio Railways' Knoxville Locomotive Works is a major shop, providing services for not only its own shortline railroads, but also contract work for outside customers. NS SD40-2 1634 rests outside, along with SW1500 KLWX 1123 (ex SP), while visiting KLW for installation of remote control equipment. Photo taken with permission on a supervised visit to KLW.
