Remarks & Notes
An Old Veteran Passing the Site Where Fellow Veterans Had Passed... NS 191 was caught sporting an unusal leader, leading a pair of the usual power found on this train. NS 6099 was a refreshing change for a not so refreshing scene. NS 191 is seen passing the site of the January 5, 2005 Graniteville Train Derailment Disaster where NS 191's counterpart, NS 192, took the switch (that was left lined for the spur) which NS 6099 is seen crossing, and smashed head-on with NS P22 which was tied down for the day. Many lost their lives due to a massive Chlorine spill from one of the ruptured tank cars on NS 192 that night. Also the engineer onboard NS 192, Chris Seeling, passed as well. Note: The Green signal indication is not signaling the condition of the track, but instead is an Approach Spring Switch indicator, which indicates the position of the spring switch up ahead into Vaucluse Siding.
