Remarks & Notes |
141 R 568 "Mikado" (2-8-2) with the "Swiss Classic Train" in Germany. The SBB line Schaffhausen-Eglisau goes over german territory for about 8 kilometers between Neuhausen/Altenburg and Lottstetten/Rafz. On this section there is a grade of 0.8 %, which is no problem for the powerfull coalfired (with mechanical stoker) steamlocomotive, built by Baldwin in 1945 for the French Railways SNCF. Locomotive and train are owned by Andrew Cook of UK (William Cook Rail). |
