Remarks & Notes |
Workin' hard at Log Cabin. The White Pass Rotary Fleet charges through a heavily drifted area just south of the Klondike Highway Crossing in an area known as "Log Cabin". The charge you see here worked the equipment so hard that moments later, the train was forced to stop and the rotary crew to bail out. On the radio, the voice of Superintendent Hanousek made a frantic call to the locomotive crews that the floor boards in the rotary cab were so hot that the crew could no longer stand it. After a five minute break, things cooled down a bit and the train was able to continue north toward Bennett. |
