Remarks & Notes |
AC 1754,WC 6590 slow for a crew change at the Highway 40 crossing in Fibre. This job was on short time departing Escanaba so the crew didn't bother turning the power before departing. It didn't work out well though as the original 6600 series SD45 trailing 1754 was having ground relay problems from Isabella east. This crew picked up 6590 from a westbound at Trout Lake and parted with the SD that had been giving them trouble. I figured they would place the 6590 on the point for the trip into Sault Ste. Marie but they decided to just get going again without turning the power and a new crew is standing with me on the road crossing with a decidedly different look on their faces than the smile on mine! Some days you just get lucky. |
