| The sun shines through the storm clouds just long enough to allow a well lit shot of former SOU 3272 as it heads west on work train 938 at LS Jct. It did my heart some much needed good to see the old gal in command, and turned as God intended. There was probably a time when my railfan predecessors looked upon the SD40-2s with the same disdain I find in the obligatory Dash-9 or Gevo, but in 2011 I'll take them any way I can. Especially those of the Southern Railway variety - turned long hood forward! |
