| The canyon tour, WC train 4 heads south with 1756, 1751, 1752 a couple miles south of Bellevue. The end of the F's wasn't far off at this point as WC was already toying with the idea that it was cheaper to operate a pair of GP40's on these trains instead of three or four F9's. The F's finished out the rest of the summer and were replaced buy modern units during the fall. The next canyon season started with F's but only for a few trips until the WC parked them for most of the rest of the summer before the CN buyout. |
