Remarks & Notes
E7s were common on the Birmingham Special in the late 1960s. The train still had a full diner and plenty of head end business -- running 17 cars this day. It was a tough choice in 1968 whether to shoot this train or go for the westbound George Washington on the C&O, which left town shortly after.
