| Rail America's Central Michigan line and Mid Michigan line are separated by less then 10 miles of SBS owned tracks in Saginaw MI, but due to hassles and cost to use the SBS to move a engine back and forth between the two lines for inspections Rail America takes the long way using the CMGN line to Durand then GLC from Durand to Alma which totals over 100 miles but is a lot less of a Hassle. Here 3868 has just arrived in Owosso on the night train as it lays over for the weekend before being taken to Alma on Monday. Photo taken with permission on private property. |
