Remarks & Notes |
Weighing in at 266,000 pounds and producing a tractive effort of 54,100 pounds at 12 mph this Dash 7 was built for the Seaboard Coast Line railroad by GE in May 1980 as part of that railroad’s second order of B30-7 models to be used in handling both fast and tonnage freights on the SCL system. While the railroad initials on the side of the cab have change three times for the 5512, it still carries the same road number assigned to it when delivered from Erie and just like the B36-7 models would keep that number until it was retired later that year. |
