Remarks & Notes |
At the Calais Maritime ferry terminal, two Pacifics of PLM origin, 231K8 and 231G81, are ready for departure with the famous train "La Flèche d'Or" (the Golden Arrow). This was the standard and most direct London - Paris travel (notwithstanding air travel). The train was a direct connection with the ferry boat coming from Dover, and the ferry boat was carrying passengers coming from London who had travelled with the English "Golden Arrow" train. |
