Remarks & Notes |
The Union Pacific Railroad of the 1970s was very different from today's carrier, in particular with regard to motive power. UP's daily Provo to Salt Lake City local departs Provo Yard with a nice mix of power that includes a GP9M, a U30C and two DD35Bs. Right behind the power are three loads of coil steel from nearby Geneva Works. It is just another day for the PVSC departing town for the 48 mile journey over Point of the Mountain to North Yard. |
