Fresh out of the GE plant in Erie, PA., are 988 and 987 sporting CSX's newest paint scheme. The two units led a loaded coal train through west Michigan en route to the J.H. Campbell Generating Complex in West Olive, MI. Normally a scenic location in the winter, the view of the Thornapple River was looking a little more desolate on Christmas Eve with just a trace of snow.
