A hike out to the west end of the long lead at Cartier yielded this photo of an extra train 403 just starting to get a roll on after waiting out a meet with the VIA RDC's and train 472 which you can spot receding into the distance on the main. Power on this job was 5646,4561 which put on quite a show as they roared west into the late evening sun. From my point of view this would have been a great shot if the 4561 had been leading, as it was one of a very few of the C630/M630's operating on CP at the time in good paint. And yes as always around Cartier in June the black flies were a nuisance. |
