Remarks & Notes 
An eastbound B&O coal drag was climbing Cranberry Grade between Amblersburg and Rodemer, WV on Sept. 21, 1980, led by recently repainted SD40 No. 7593. During this time, coal drags usually ran in the 80-85 car range. Four or five units were required up front and a helper set consisting of four SD35s on the rear. To me, it was a show hard to beat in the east.
