After making a sizable pickup at the Union Pacific interchange at Silver Bow, a matched quad of high hood EMD GP7/GP9 units head west through Ramsay, Montana for the Montana Rail Link interchange at Garrison. The 105, 104, 106 and 103 were built by EMD for the Butte Anaconda & Pacific Railway between 1953-1957. The Montana Western Railway leased 52 miles of Burlington Northern track (ex-Northern Pacific) between Butte and Garrison beginning in Sept. 1986. Train operations on this route returned to the owner, BNSF Railway in July 2003.
