Remarks & Notes
Between July 23rd and July 29th, BNSF shut down the Front Range Subdivision between Laurel Street and Cherry Street to replace the entire section of Mason Street with new track. Sadly, an era of true street running came to an end as BNSF tore up the street and took out the old track. Between July 26th and July 29th, BNSF laid new track and ballasted the new track to have the line open for late Sunday evening on the 29th. Seen here, MOW workers hammer in new track clips that will be used on the new elevated curve to help support the new speed that will eventually take place from 10 MPH to 25 MPH.
