Amtrak meets John Deere. The Amtrak equipment move from Albany-Rensselaer to Scranton via Syracuse and the NYSW rolls into Binghamton for a crew change. This train has 5 Amtrak cars and 4 private cars carrying revenue passengers. The display train is on the way to the Railfest at Steamtown in Scranton, PA. It was routed via the CSX Hudson and Mohawk Subs to SAyracuse and then down the NYSW to Binghamton wher, seen here, it will join the CP for its final leg to Scranton. This location was formerly the south end of the large D&H Bevier St Yard. The I-81 overpass is in the background.
