Utah Railway engineer Fred K. navigates his RUT311 local across 11th West Street in Woods Cross, Utah. Historically, this was D&RGW's Subdivision 7 mainline between SLC and Ogden. Rio Grande's Prospector passenger train crossed this same diagonal intersection at speeds approaching 70 mph! Today it's but a five mile spur from North Salt Lake that dead ends at the Holly Refining Company at 5th South.
