At first glance, Union Pacific AC440CW 7007 is just another of UP's many AC4400CWs. But the road number on the cab just doesn't look "right" ... Three of the digits have no black outline, and those zeros have straight sides. This engine is one of ten warranty protection units built in March 1997 by General Electric for the UP, and painted in UP's colors ... but lettered for GECX. At the end of the expiration of the warranty protection on January 30th, 1998, GECX 4007 was purchased by the UP and subsequently renumbered 7007.
