Remarks & Notes |
The path least traveled... Due to the Thursday morning derailment and necessary repairs to the siding yard switch off the siding, the NECR road freight train 324 had to perform its morning setout in White River Junction using a track normally used for salt car unloading. Running through the area that had been occupied by Unitrac for rail and OTM salvage from the NECR ARRA project, the NECR 324 dons a tio of former UP motors - led by NECR SD40-2 2714 and SD40-2 2680 (both constructed by M-K as SD40M-2s) and Connecticut Southern SD40-2 3771 head south to rejoin the mainline south of this point and back against the remainder of their train - seen in the background with the NECR 600 local (NECR GP40-3 437) holding the siding in front of the depot. |
