| A fresh snowfall and a sunny Sunday called for a chase along CP's Havelock Subdivision, also known as the Kawartha Lakes Railway. This would be the only branchline railroad still in operation in Canada. Pontypool is known for its great grain elevator, which has obviously seen better days. The elevator is beaten down and rumor has it that it will be demolished. Locals have posted signs on the sides of the elevator asking for donations to help keep this local icon standing. One sign reads that the town has raised over $15,000 in the last two months! |
