Remarks & Notes
The Middleton Railway is the world's oldest continuously working railway. It was founded in 1758 and is now a heritage railway run by volunteers from The Middleton Railway Trust Ltd. since 1960. On 16th June 2010, we see visitor no. 32 Gothenburg a Manchester Ship Canal 0-6-0T heading away from the station with a freight charter. Another MSC loco, no. 67 brings up the rear.
