The KCKEMP has finished its work in the Lawrence, KS yard, and is getting ready to proceed west towards Topeka and Emporia. Here, it pauses just outside of the Amtrak depot as the switches behind it are aligned. The train is seen here running later than normal, as the eastbound SW Chief was running over 12 hours late on this day, "slightly" altering the day's movements over the Topeka Sub.
