'Merica! This rebuilt Metro North F40PH is on its third life. Originally a workhorse for Amtrak, this locomotive was then sold to Metro North and beacame F40PH-2CAT 4192. A few years ago Metro North sent all of their F40s to be overhauled by Progress Rail and become F40PH-3Cs. Now this locomotive is still roaming the rails of NJ Transit, either by hauling 80mph expresses, or stopping and going at every station up the line. Seen here is 4908 making a quick stop in Rutherford, right next to a 9/11 memorial.
