The Woes of the Sedalia Sub. With the Missouri River flooding and covering parts of Union Pacific's River Sub, the railroad has moved eastbound traffic to the primarily-westbound Sedalia Sub. UP 5559 is leading an eastbound Labadie-load that has already taken a beating from this hilly subdivision. This 18,000 ton train lost communication with the two DPU's, in doing so they turned into dead-weight on the rear of the train and that was enough stress to pull a drawbar and halt traffic on a congested sub for a couple hours. After making a set out, the train is seen struggling with the uphill climb into Sedalia with a 3x2 consist.
