The newest shinkansen type on the Tokaido and Sanyo line is the N700 A (A for advanced). This particular set G 4 was delivered from Nippon Sharyo on january 22, 2013. Externally the same as the N700 series, the N700 A trains will include modified brake discs, bogie vibration detection, and ATC improvements. The train is passing 3776 meter high Fuji volcano in a distance of about 25 kilometers, with 270 km per hour velocity, the highest speed on the Tokaido Shinkansen.
