Remarks & Notes |
Eastbound CN manifest 416 follows the Thompson River upstream through the twists of Black Canyon between Ashcroft and Coho, BC. This train was one of the longest I have ever seen; my companion for the weekend and I simply gawked as it kept going and going, extending out of sight around both the distant and near cliffs (out of view to right). We later determined that the the train had 179 cars and stretched over two miles in length -- quite an impressive feat for just two engines! Photo from private property taken with permission. |
