Remarks & Notes |
This 0-4-4-0 is awaiting restoration for use on the Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge Railway located in the old mining town of Cripple Creek, Colorado. This 26 ton steam engine is a Superheated Meyer Type Mallet built by Bagnall in England in 1947. The engine was used in a South African sugar plantation before being moved to the CC&V line and was operational for a short time before being disassembled for a more thorough restoration. The passenger car in the background (CSS 99972) is also awaiting restoration. |
