The former Reading Company station in Hopewell, NJ. The station was built in 1876 by the Delaware and Bound Brook Railroad and last saw passenger service via NJT in 1982. Today, the West Trenton line is down to one single track and sees CSX freight bound for North Jersey. To the bottom right is a still surviving freight spur and out of the frame to the right stands the old freight station.
Oh the stories these special buildings could tell. Originally the brains of the rails they monitored, working to insure effecient rail service for our nation! A tribute!
