Remarks & Notes

The Soo, LS&I and C&NW shared track west of Eagle Mills to near Ishpeming. This was CTC controlled by the LS&I control operator in Eagle Mills. I had been following Soo 4407 westbound out of Marquette on a local freight when it came to a stop at the signal in Negaunee. After about a 10 minutes wait on a chilly snowy April morning the C&NW 6721,6710 and 6717 showed up with an ore load out of Ishpeming bound for Escanaba.
