| The Superior, Wisconsin to Grand Forks, North Dakota manifest crosses the over the frozen Mississippi River narrows between Lake Bemidji and Lake Irvine near downtown Bemidji. This train got off to a slow start with the crew on-duty around 0630 and struggled to get air pressure in the Cass Lake yard for four hours before leaving a 50-car cut in the yard before proceeding west. I would imagine the crew was relieved to be moving, especially in light of the extremely cold temperatures. |
