Remarks & Notes
A pair of Dash 8 series GE units lead SP's Dirt Train local out of Helper Yard on July 10, 1993. The use of four axle GE power out of Helper, Utah was short lived, as was the haulage of trash via double stacked containers in well cars. Soon, Rio Grande SD40T-2s with containers on flat cars will become standard operating procedure continuing for more than a decade.
