Remarks & Notes

Back in 2010, the CN was hit hard with snow in western Iowa. Here a crew works west on the Cherokee Sub with a Jordan Spreader trying to push the snow drifts back away from the mainline. While it looks fairly flat in this farm country, a small rise in the land, and snow will drift in it. Sometimes a couple passes are made if the drift is too deep, as seen here as the crew makes a 2nd pass thru this drift between Manson and Pomeroy.
