Remarks & Notes
Sperry Rail Service Detector Car car 128 was built in Sept. 1925 by St. Louis Car for the Baltimore & Ohio. It was powered by a 220 horsepower Winton 106A gasoline engine equipped with a GE electrical system. As built it weighed 40 tons, was 59 feet in length with a baggage section and could seat 49 passengers. In Feb. 1928, it was rebuilt and sold to the Lehigh Valley Railroad. By March of 1939, it was sold to Sperry Rail Service where it continues to serve.
