| MIDWEST CITY OK June 4 1979 -- Freshly rebuilt Santa Fe GP7u 2158 idles at the General Motors yard near Tinker AFB. Santa Fe's Cleburne (TX) shops rebuilt the locomotive in May 1979. At the time of this photo the yard is still under construction and the GM plant has yet to open. The automaker has since shutterd the plant and, as of January 2014, the yard appears to be used for storage. |
