With a skeleton crew working Montreal, Maine & Atlantic's train board, the single crewman mentality had reached nearly every part of the system by the end of 2011. The Searsport Branch was no exception with #211 sharing the limelight. The cloud line had cleared the horizon just at the right time on December 10, 2011. Switching GAC in Searsport, 8569 and its engineer was soaking up what little sunlight had been offered on this otherwise chilly day.
