| On the Alaska Railroad it is relatively rare to capture two non passenger trains making a meet as most run under the cover of darkness or if during the summer are in those generally not accessible areas. This shot shows the northbound freight meeting the southbound coal at Willow. This scene itself cannot be duplicated as the south switch Willow has been removed. This, IIRC, was taken after 10 PM on one of the long days of summer. |
