SOO 4442 has just completed it's journey through the dilapidated and horribly maintained ex-MILW trackage from South Beloit, IL to Janesville, WI. Here it is seen just before Rockport Rd. On the left, is a sign that says "former railroad grade." This was the Chicago and Northwestern's route to Beloit, South Beloit, Poplar Grove, and eventually rejoined with the Janesville line at Harvard. Those tracks have been gone since roughly 1979.
